Good Reasons to Make the Frankfort Choice

Selection
We have more choices than ever before right here in Franklin County. All kinds of favorite brands or services that you may have purchased in Lexington or Louisville in the past are now available here.

Time
Time is an exhaustible commodity. Yours is valuable. Don't forget the time spent just sitting in traffic waiting to enter or exit a mall.

Convenience
We all rely on local merchants and restaurants to be here for us for quick shopping throughout the year. If we don't support them with our purchases when we do our holiday shopping, they may not be here when we most need them.

Cost
One of the biggest hidden costs of out-of-town shopping is the cost of fueling up the car or truck. Factor in the cost of time, and those road trips cost more than we think we might save somewhere else.

Better Schools
Local schools rely very heavily on tax dollars for everything from the roof overhead to rapidly changing technology. Tax dollars come from retail sales. Every shopping trip we make to somebody else's town helps advance their school system and cheats our own.

Relationships
Having a friendly relationship with a store manager or a helpful clerk who knows you by name, and cares about our community too, makes shopping a more enjoyable experience.

Better Government Services
Police and Fire Departments cost money. So do parks and recreation programs, good roads, and trash removal. Tax dollars maintain and enhance these services. Every buying spree in any other town, USA rewards that community with better services.

Better Human Services
Local charitable organizations like the United Way, Hospice, and many others depend on community-based employers to help fund essential services for those in need. When the business community suffers from out-shopping, community charities and human services suffer as well.

Procrastination
Shopping locally pays big rewards to the world-class procrastinator. A quick hour is just enough time to pick up a last minute gift or necessity. Ever try to hit and run a large regional mall at the last minute? Ever try to get an Internet store to promise Christmas delivery when you’ve waited until the day before to shop?
