Tish Shade, IOM

Tish Shade, President/CEO

Tish comes to us after a year in Texas and before that, 30 years in Colorado. She has worked in the Chamber industry for over 14 years and in Business Development for over 25. She and her husband Mark moved to Kentucky in March of 2021.

In 2022, Tish graduated from both Leadership Frankfort and Leadership Central Kentucky. She also graduated from the Institute for Organization Management and received her IOM designation from the United States Chamber of Commerce.

In 2023 she became a Certified Etiquette Consultant through IAP Career College.

In 2024 she received her Certificate in Chamber Management from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Tish is a member of the Rotary Club of Frankfort, The Frankfort Elks, The Frankfort Kiwanis, the Optimist Club, the Bourbon Society, and a member of DIG – Development Interest Group. She is the secretary of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives.

 

Janice Purvis

Janice Purvis, Administrative Assistant

Janice is new to the Chamber and excited to see how she can help our small businesses. For 10 years, she co-managed a small towing and mechanic business with her late husband and understands the struggles and rewards of running a business.
A native of Frankfort, Janice graduated from Western Hills High School before attending Morehead State University, where she earned a Child Development Associate credential.
She was the Director of a local Child Care Center for 8 years and taught preschool at Blue Grass Head Start for 15 years.
Janice is the proud mother of one son and values spending quality time with her family and friends.

Shauna Smith

Shauna Smith, Program and Events Coordinator

Shauna Smith is new to the chamber world this year but has lived in Frankfort most of her life. After Graduation from Western Hills High School, she attended Western Kentucky University for bachelor’s in education. While teaching at the Old Bridgeport School and Peaks Mill Elementary, she received a master’s in education from Georgetown College and then another master’s in Instructional Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University. She retired from public education as a school administrator at Westridge Elementary School in 2021.

Shauna is a graduate of the 2023 Leadership Frankfort program and a former Chamber Ambassador.

Shauna has a passion for lifelong learning and encouraging growth in others through continued education, leadership training and mentorship. Working for the Chamber has given her the opportunity to continue this mission with local businesses and entrepreneurs.
